After a ban of 59 Chinese apps last month, for national security reasons following the India-china border conflict, the government plan to examine a list of Chinese apps to check whether if they pose any risk to national security or personal details of individuals. As now, these apps have been red-flagged due to security reasons and violation of data sharing and privacy concerns. Chinese companies have over 300 million unique subscribers in India. India is also the largest market of PubG. According to estimates, PubG has already generated about 17.5 crores installs to date.

India has already issued a warning to some apps for security reasons. India is now preparing to ban these apps as these are leaking and sharing of personal information. The IT ministry is examining whether these apps pose a threat to the sovereignty and integrity of India.
